Explain every number
Each metric in the report says what it shows, why it matters and how it is calculated. If we can't explain a number, we don't show it.
About us
Most typing tests give you one number and send you on your way. cadensh was built for the question that comes next: why is that my number, and what would move it?
Why we built it
Two people can both type at 70 words per minute for completely different reasons. One is fast but careless. Another is accurate but hesitates before every long word. A third starts strong and fades after thirty seconds. A single WPM score hides all of that.
cadensh timestamps every keystroke. From those timings we work out your rhythm, the ceiling you could reach if you never paused, which keys and words slow you down, and whether you hold your pace to the end. If you turn on the camera, an on-device model adds where your attention went: the screen, the keyboard or somewhere else.
The name comes from cadence, the rhythm of a sequence. Good typing has one, and once you can see it, you can train it.

What we believe
01
Each metric in the report says what it shows, why it matters and how it is calculated. If we can't explain a number, we don't show it.
02
Camera analysis runs entirely in your browser. No video, image or face data is uploaded, and there is no account to sign up for.
03
The Cadence Index rewards clean, steady typing over lucky bursts. It moves when your skill does, not when the words happen to be easy.
04
The test, the full report and shareable links cost nothing. Practice should be something you can do every day without a paywall.
